Amazing things began to happen to me. I began to have experiences of “The Light” and found myself working with various Healers who worked with Energetic Healing, Flower Essences, Reiki and Sound.  Sound.  It was not long before I began to find that sounds began to form within me and wanted to be expressed.  I began to learn how to make specific tones and chants from the voice for healing.

It was certainly a surprise as I had never taken any classes on healing or Energywork. I had never taken any course on Soundhealing.  These qualities began to emerge from me intuitively, unintended and unprovoked by me.

During this time I remembered that several years earlier, while working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, I saw an infant who was struggling to breathe and was being given oxygen through a small plastic “hood” placed  over his face and head.  He had the severe substernal retractions characteristic of a newborn in respiratory distress syndrome.  Although I was not his Nurse that night, I felt a strong need to go to his bedside and lay my hands on his small chest to heal him.  My action was spontaneous and was not coming from a linear place in my mind but instead came from an inner awareness.   I remember returning to work the next day and going over to see if the baby was better.  I was happy to see he was now breathing normally and was no longer requiring oxygen. On a deep level, I knew that my laying on of hands had helped to heal him.  This occurred several years before I began to have my Spiritual Awakening when I began to discover my innate healing abilities.  For many years I had expressed my healing abilities through mainstream Clinical Nursing using the traditional Western Medical Model.

I was going faster and faster into a previously unknown, or should I say, forgotten aspect of myself. I was waking up.  I began to have connections with other Sound Healers and was able to present my Intuitive Sound Healing Work at International Sound Healer’s Colloquiums and Conferences.  I presented Sound and Energywork at the American Holistic Nurses Association Conferences, first in Sedona, then at several other venues.  I presented my Soundhealing on radio, television, at fairs,  and eventually at the Whole Life Expo in San Francisco. My life was no longer the same.  I no longer looked at the world in the same way. Everything I did in my life was now related to following Divine guidance, without hesitation. I found an inner guidance that has carried me all these years and is still propelling me to the Light and to Enlightenment.
